Instead of making a separate thread everytime someone goes down in training camp. Let's just make a running thread on injuries. I'll update the first page if people want to report what they see.

Also, A problem I have during TC is determining how serious an injury really is. Is the staff being cautious? Is someone looking to start on the pup? I don't want to give the wrong info without knowing more details. However, if I have a gut feeling or gain access to some good information I'll pass it along and include my thoughts.

Boldin was seen during practice running routes and performing agility drills. I think sitting him out is more precautionary.

Good luck with information on Wes Welker. I hear it could be a groin issue, but Brady was questionable 42 weeks straight with a shoulder injury.

I'm not concerned about Errnie Sims bone bruise. He had shoulder surgery during the off season, so I bet they are just giving him more time to rehab that injury. He should be good to go.

Less practice means less chance for a concussion. There was a concern for multiple concussions he had in college during the draft. None that left him out over a long period of time, but he did miss a few games. So far so, good :knocks on wood:

Both Ravens OTs were seen Thursday wearing a boot for sprained ankles.

Chad Slaughter is working with the first team.

Willis McGahee stayed on the sideline with a "sore left knee." i have no idea on his condition other than I don't think he "misses" practicing.

Ray Rice is getting a lot of work. We can see him in the rotation pretty early in the season.

GARCIA SUFFERS LEG INJURY
Posted by Michael David Smith on July 31, 2008, 10:45 a.m. EDT
Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia was carted off the practice field today with an apparent leg injury.

WDAE has a photo showing Garcia, still wearing his helmet and shoulder pads, sitting next to a Bucs trainer in a golf cart.

Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times reports that Garcia was injured during a non-contact drill.

Per Stroud, Garcia felt discomfort in his right leg as he was rolling out and throwing, and he was seen limping toward the locker room.

From today: Garcia strained his right calf during a mobility drill

Dungy said with a series of injuries at the linebacker position, the team may look into signing another player at the position.

“We’d like to bring one in to at least practice,” Dungy said.

Starting middle linebacker Gary Brackett missed practice Thursday morning after sustaining a hip injury, and linebacker Clint Session (calf) likely will miss a week or so, Dungy said.

“We’re getting thinner,” Dungy said.

Dungy said Brackett likely will be out this week and said he doesn’t expect it to be a long-term situation.

“I don’t think it’s a point where we need to be concerned,” Dungy said.

Dorsey sprains knee Saturday: Kansas City Chiefs rookie defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey sprained his left knee Saturday. The team said Dorsey will have an MRI to determine how bad the injury is. The injury happened during practice at training camp when Dorsey collided with another lineman. - cbs

ahem - I believe I had this one... now I know why Carl never signed any of his #1s before September in the past Sad

From rotoworld:

Texans WR Andre Johnson limped off the practice field Saturday with a tweaked groin.

Johnson didn't sound concerned about the injury, saying it was "nothing really major. I’ll go in and get some treatment over the next two days and I’ll be fine." Johnson stressed that he didn't tear anything and that he slowed down once he felt it tighten. Sounds like Johnson escaped serious injury, but be sure to check on his progress next week.

Malcolm Kelly is making a visit to Birmingham Alabama to get his knee evaluated. Everyone knows that is the hme of one Dr. James Andrews.

Can not be good news.

Up until this time, he has been missing for a hamstring injury.
